Paint rates move through the season — every figure is a market estimate for planning only; call us for today's exact price.
Paint Rates in Pakistan — Per Gallon (2026)
| Paint Type | Economy | Mid | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interior wall emulsion | 4,500 – 5,500 | 6,500 – 8,500 | 9,000 – 13,000 |
| Exterior weather guard | 5,500 – 6,500 | 7,500 – 9,500 | 10,000 – 15,000 |
| Enamel (wood & metal) | 3,800 – 4,800 | 5,500 – 7,000 | 7,500 – 10,000 |
| Texture paint | — | 6,000 – 9,000 | 9,500 – 14,000 |

Real Coverage Per Gallon (Not the Brochure Number)
| Surface | Honest Coverage (one coat) |
|---|---|
| Interior wall, first coat | 220 – 280 sq.ft |
| Interior wall, second coat | 300 – 380 sq.ft |
| Exterior wall | 180 – 250 sq.ft |
| Enamel on wood/metal | 180 – 250 sq.ft |
Brochures say more. Reality says: rough plaster drinks paint; smooth putty surfaces stretch it. Dark colors need an extra coat — budget it.
Worked Example: 5 Marla Single-Story House
Assume ~1,350 sq.ft covered area, ~2,600 sq.ft of wall + ceiling surface:
| Item | Quantity | Cost (PKR) |
|---|---|---|
| Wall putty | 6–7 bags (40 kg) | 25,000 – 33,000 |
| Primer/sealer | 5 gallons | 20,000 – 30,000 |
| Interior emulsion (2 coats) | 14–16 gallons | 95,000 – 130,000 |
| Exterior weather guard | 7–8 gallons | 55,000 – 75,000 |
| Enamel for doors/windows | 4–5 gallons | 22,000 – 35,000 |

Why Do Similar Paints Vary So Much in Price?
- Binder (resin) content — the real quality driver; more binder = better washability and life.
- PVC (pigment volume concentration) — cheap paints are chalky; they look fine for a year then powder.
- Imported vs local pigments — affects color depth and fade resistance in Jhelum's summer sun.

Where a Paint Budget Really Goes
The gallon price is the number everyone compares and the lever that matters least. Ask anyone who repainted within two years what they would change, and the answers are almost always about preparation, not paint:
- Surface prep decides the outcome. Two proper putty coats with real sanding between them will make a mid-range emulsion look better than a premium one slapped on a rough wall. Prep is labour, and labour is where people try to save first — wrongly.
- Coats matter more than brand tiers. One thick coat never equals two honest coats. Two coats over a sealed, primed surface is the standard for living rooms and exteriors.
- Spend where eyes and weather land. The lounge you sit in and the exterior wall that takes the afternoon sun and monsoon deserve the better tier. Store rooms, corridors and behind-cupboard walls are sensible places to step down a tier, not up.
- Primer is not optional. On fresh plaster, primer is what stops the expensive top coat from drinking in unevenly. Skipping it is the most expensive saving in painting.
- Sheen by room. Walkable fingerprints — corridors, kids' rooms, kitchens — take a pearl or satin finish that washes. Flat matt belongs on ceilings and low-touch walls.
If you want a rough quantity picture before you talk rates, our paint calculator estimates litres by room size and coat count. For a brand-tiered plan — Happilac options by surface and room — send your room list on WhatsApp and we will map it out; rates for the day come with it.

Delivery Areas & Charges
Plain and simple — here is exactly how delivery works at Khokhar Traders.
Where we deliver: Locally within about 10–15 km of Jhelum city centre — Jhelum City, Civil Lines, Bilal Town, Kala Gujran, Haji Aima, Kotla Aima, Katchery, Mohamdi Chowk, Chishtian Mohallah, Madina Town, CITI Housing, and many more areas around Jhelum city centre. A little further out? We may still be able to deliver with extra charges — just ask.
Delivery charges: Agreed at the time of order. Share your location with our team and we calculate the exact distance, then confirm a fair delivery charge before anything is loaded. Prefer to save on transport? You are welcome to arrange your own transport.
Ex-shop rates vs delivered rates: Shop materials — cement, iron rebars (sariya), chips, tile bonds, paints, hardware — are priced at ex-shop rates: either we deliver at the agreed charge, or you arrange your own transport. Loose materials — sand, aggregate (crush), soil and gassu for foundation filling, and bricks on a full trolley — usually come with delivery included.
Full-truck cement delivery: We can deliver a full truck of 350–500 cement bags straight to your site (if a bigger truck can safely reach it). A small loader carries only 25–35 bags per trip — one full truck saves you many loader runs and real money on local transport.
Rates change daily: A rate confirmed over the phone is valid for that time of day only. A rate is locked with an official order and advance payment — we confirm the final rate and delivery charge together before dispatch.
